Katie attended her first teacher training in Kundalini Yoga in 2008, after practicing various movement art forms for nearly a decade. Shortly thereafter, she serendipitously fell into Acroyoga, completing the level 1 training in 2010, the level 2 in 2012, and the Immersion Teacher certification in 2013. In 2012, Katie and the lovely Lisa Molinaro started Circle Up, a program dedicated to strengthening emerging yoga communities around the world.

When she’s not upside down, Katie works as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and weaves the sacred technology of yoga into her healing arts. She also holds certifications in Holistic Healing, Reiki, Shiatsu, Indian Head Massage, Thai Yoga Therapy, and Mind Body Medicine. Katie has worked professionally, both as a Nurse Practitioner and yoga teacher, in North, Central, and South America, the Caribbean, and Africa. In 2011, she spent 6 months in Northern Nigeria running a Pediatric Inpatient Unit and Cholera Emergency with Doctors Without Borders. When stateside, Katie specializes in immigrant, inner-city medicine; and, she is currently working towards her second Masters in Nurse-Midwifery.
